April 22: Trader gunned down in Karachi sectarian attack

A trader was shot dead in a suspected sectarian attack in Gulberg Town. Syed Sajjad Mehdi, 30, was driving away from his home when motorcycle gunmen disguised as private security guards intercepted him, and opened fire. The victim died while being taken to a local hospital. Dawn

April 23: ASWJ activist killed in Karachi

An activist of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat was gunned down and another worker wounded after attending a rally to mark the death anniversary of Hazrat Abu Bakar. Two passers-by, including a 40-year-old woman, also received gunshot wounds in the attack.  Dawn

April 23: Shia activist shot dead in Faisalabad

A member of the Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen was shot dead at his shop in Faisalabad. Ehsan Kabeer Zaidi, 45, was at his shop when unidentified men on motorcycles shot him and fled from the spot. Hundreds of people later staged a protest demonstration on Millat Road. Express Tribune

April 25: Bomb near mosque kills four in Karachi

A powerful bomb exploded near a mosque in Karachi, killing at least four people and wounding 30 others. The blast took place outside a local mosque in the city’s Delhi Colony, as worshippers were leaving after Friday prayers. Police officials speculated that the bomb might have been planted to target a bus which transports Shia worshippers during that time. Daily Times
