February 11: Hazara girl killed in Quetta

An eight-year-old Hazara girl succumbed to her wounds after allegedly having been sexually assaulted. The girl was found injured with deep knife wounds near her house in the Hazara Town area of Quetta. She passed away after having been shifted to a hospital. Express Tribune

February 13: Attack on Imambargah in Peshawar 

At least 20 people were killed and 60 others injured in Peshawar after a gun and bomb attack on a local Imambargah. Armed men wearing military uniforms broke into the worship place, where people were attending Friday prayers. The assailants opened fire on the worshippers before detonating at least three bombs. Daily Times

February 13: Bomb planted outside school defused in Orakzai Agency

A bomb planted outside a primary school in Babu Tang area of Orakzai Agency was safely defused after being spotted by area locals. Students at the school were immediately evacuated and bomb defusal teams called in. Dawn

February 14: Polio workers attacked in Khyber Agency

Unknown gunmen opened fire at a vehicle carrying a team of polio vaccination workers in Landi Kotal’s Lowi Shalman area of Khyber Agency, killing the driver and leaving one volunteer injured. Dawn

February 14: ASWJ leader escapes attack in Karachi

The leader of the banned extremist group ASWJ escaped an attack by unknown gunmen in Karachi over the weekend. Aurangzeb Farooqui, the Central President of the sectarian group, escaped unhurt in the attack but three of his bodyguard sustained injuries. Pakistan Today

February 15: ASWJ leader killed in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi spokesperson of the banned sectarian group ASWJ was killed when unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire at him and several other party workers at a bus stop. Mazhar Siddiqui died on the spot while another worker was left injured. Enraged ASWJ supporters took the victim’s body to the Supreme Court building in Islamabad where they staged a sit-in. Express Tribune
