January 16: Blast at Peshawar Tablighi seminary 

At least ten people were killed and more than 60 injured when a bomb exploded at a religious centre in Peshawar.

The explosion took place at Tablighi Markaz on Pajaggi Road just before Maghrib prayers. Around a thousand people were gathered at the seminary run by the Tablighi Jamaat for a Shab-i-Juma congregation when the bomb struck. Dawn

January 18: Two educational institutions bombed in Hangu and Khyber Agency

Unidentified militants blew up two government educational institutions in Hangu and Khyber Agency, but no causalities were reported. The attacks on the Government Boys High School Doaaba in Hangu, as well as the Government Degree College Landi Kotal were both remotely detonated devices which had been planted outside the school walls. January 18: Attack on ASWJ leader leaves two dead in Sargodha 

An Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader was injured in an attack by unidentified motorcycle bound gunmen which killed two security guards as well as wounding five others.

Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid, the ASWJ President for Bhakkar, was traveling to a court hearing when his vehicle came under attack by three men. As the news of the attack spread, ASWJ supporters staged demonstrations in several parts of Faisalabad to protest the incident. Express Tribune

January 19: Another ASWJ leader killed in Mandi Bahuddin

The fourth murder of an Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader within the past week took place in the Bosal village of Mandi Bahauddin on Saturday night. Three gunmen had barged into Hafiz Muhammad’s house and allegedly began to torture Hafiz’s son.
