August 5: Two Shias killed in Karachi 

Two men were shot dead in a sectarian attack in Liaquatabad on Tuesday night. Ashraf, 50, and Hameed, 30, were sitting at a hair-dresser’s shop when four men riding motorcycles opened fire on them and fled. The wounded men were taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced them dead. Dawn

August 6: Sikh trader shot dead in Peshawar

A trader belonging to the Sikh community was killed and two others were injured in an attack on three shops in a market in Peshawar.

The three victims were in their shops when a man entered the premises and opened fire on them. Other shopkeepers in the market later protested the attack, which was the latest in a rise of incidents targeting Peshawar’s native Sikh community. Dawn

August 8: Government school destroyed in Charsadda

Militants blew up a government boys’ high school in Atokey Sheikhano in KPK province. A major portion of the school building was destroyed as a result of the explosion but no casualties were reported as the building was vacant at the time of the attack. Daily Times
