December 9: Polio vaccine worker shot dead in Faisalabad

A school teacher was shot dead while working on a polio vaccination campaign in Faisalabad. 48-year-old school teacher Sarfraz Ahmad, a resident of Bilal Town Warispura, was working as part of the polio vaccination drive when he was attacked by gunmen on motorcycles. Daily Times

December 14: Acid thrown on polio worker in Khanewal

An unidentified man threw acid on a lady health worker during a polio vaccination drive in Rahim Shah area in southern Punjab. According to police police reports, the victim, Shaista, was administering polio drops to children when the assailant threw acid on her. The health worker avoided serious injury, but police were unable to apprehend the attacker. Daily Times
