3 Transgender Persons Hired By Sindh Government

The Sindh government has made history after hiring three transgendered persons to work as full-time employees. The three candidates all hold bachelors degrees, and will be working in the Women Development Department.

This latest move comes on the back of incremental progress in the rights and status of Pakistan’s significant transgender community. A year ago, the transgender community was officially recognised by the state on voting lists and issued Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs). Express Tribune
