July 26: US Embassy worker killed in Islamabad
Unidentified gunmen killed a local employee of the United States Embassy in Islamabad. Police identified the dead employee as Iqbal Baig, adding that the deceased worked for the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and belonged to the Shia Ismaili sect.
