June 24: Second ASWJ leader attacked in Rawalpindi

A local leader of the political wing of a banned extremist group was killed by unidentified gunmen in Rawalpindi. Maulana Izhar-ul-Haq Farooqui of the Ahle Sunna Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) was returning home when he was attacked. He had been to a local hospital to visit Mufti Munir Ahmed Moavia, who had been ambushed on Sunday in a similar manner and in the same locality. Mufti Moavia however survived his attack. Dawn

June 24: School for girls bombed in Wana

Unknown militants blew up the building of a privately-run school for girls in the Mughal Khel area of South Waziristan Agency (SWA). The militants first kidnapped the school’s watchman and then detonated two explosive devices which flattened the building. Although girls’ schools have been frequently bombed by militants in both FATA and KPK, these targets have invariably been government-run schools. Daily Times

June 27: Two more schools attacked in KPK

Two primary schools for girls were blown up by unidentified militants in the Shno Ghundai area near Mohmand Agency. The buildings were attacked overnight, and did not cause any loss of life. Express Tribune
