March 10: Man killed in Karachi sectarian attack
A young man was shot dead in a suspected sectarian attack in New Karachi. Akhter Hussain, 35, was sitting at his shop when he was attacked. The victim belonged the Shia community. Dawn
March 10: Two gunned down in Pindi
Two activists from the banned Siaph-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) extremist group were gunned down on the Islamabad highway. Those targeted included Mufti Sohail Mavia Abbasi, Information Secretary of the SSP. The News
March 11: Two policemen killed in Dera Ismail Khan
Two policemen providing security to a polio vaccination team were gunned down in Dera Ismail Khan. The two member security team was attacked in the village of Gandi Umer Khan when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on them. Two unidentified men opened fire at a school in Karachi injuring three people. The incident took place outside Jungle School in the Baldia Town area of the city. It wasn’t immediately clear what the attackers’ motives were Express Tribune
March 12: Anti-polio team threatened in Hassan Abdal
The anti-polio drive in the rural areas of Hassanabdal was halted when armed men intercepted an anti-polio team and threatened them of dire consequences if they did not stop their activity. The team suspended its activities as a result and informed local authorities. Dawn
March 13: Sikh hakim, employee gunned down
A Sikh hakim and his employee were shot dead by unidentified men in the main Shabqadar bazaar. 34-year-old Dr Pram Jeet Singh, a resident of Peshawar, was working in his herbal medicine shop with Zahid, 36, when two men walked in and shot them before escaping in a car. Express Tribune
March 13: Girls school destroyed in Wana
A state-run girls’ primary school was damaged in a blast in Mughal Khel village of Wana, South Waziristan. Two rooms of the school were completely destroyed in the blast while the windows of the others were shattered. No one has claimed responsibility for attacking the school, which was located close to the Wana bazaar. Express Tribune
