March 27: Religious scholar gunned down in Nowshera

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a religious scholar and ​seminary ​administrator, Maulana Amir Hamza. Hamza was a prominent religious scholar​ with a special attachment with the Darul Uloom Deoband and Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak. The victim’s son Qari Muhammad Bilal ​told media sources that ​the attack was part of the ongoing assassination campaign ​against​ eliminate religious scholars in the country. The News
