May 13: Imambargah destroyed in Mansehra bomb blast

The Shia community in Mansehra came out in protests after unidentified militants blew up the Masjid Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Ali (AS) Imambargah in the village of Bafa in Mansehra. Although no loss of life was reported in the attack, the building was completely destroyed.Express Tribune

May 14: Shopkeeper killed in Karachi sectarian attack

Karachi’s wave of target killings against Shias continued after a shopkeeper, Mazhar Abbas Rizvi, was gunned down in Samanabad. The victim was working at the shop he owned when four gunmen on motorcycles attacked him. The attackers managed to escape while the victim died en route to the hospital. Dawn

May 15: School bombed in Ghalanai, Mohmand

Unknown militants destroyed the building of a government primary school for boys in the Khwezai tehsil of Mohmand Agency. The incident was similar to the modus operandi of militants in such attacks, with explosive devices left in the school which went off during the night. Dawn

May 16: Pakistani Television channel, 3 others booked for blasphemy

A popular morning show was at the centre of a blasphemy controversy after it was accused of offending religious sentiments. An FIR was registered in Islamabad against the owner of the Geo Network Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, as well as the host of the show Dr Shaista Lodhi and her two guests actress Veena Malik and her husband Asad Basheer Khatak. May 16: Teenager kills blasphemy accused in Sheikhupura

An Ahmedi man facing blasphemy charges was shot dead in a police station after his teenager attacker entered the premises disguised as a policeman. The victim was among four people accused of blasphemy by a shopkeeper, while his assailant was a local seminary student. Dawn
