October 1: Attack on school kills teacher

Unidentified militants lobbed two hand grenades at the girls’ section of a private school in Charsadda, killing a teacher named Honey Bibi and injuring two students. The devices exploded in front of school administrator office. School attacks in the region usually take place through remotely detonated devices, and grenade and gun attacks are relatively rarer. Express Tribune 

October 1: Polio team attacked in Rahim Yar Khan

A polio team was attacked in the Khanpur area of Rahimyar Khan while administering vaccines. Local police arrived at the scene and arrested a school teacher, identified as Ashraf, who reportedly led the attack. Daily Times 

October 2: Vehicle bombed in Gilgit

A bomb hit a passenger van on the Gilgit-Skardu road, leaving at least three people dead and 10 others injured. The van was heading for Haramosh valley, a predominantly Shia area, when it was hit by the bomb near Alam bridge.The Shia Ulema Council announced a three-day mourning period in protest against the bomb attack. Dawn

October 4: Shias targeted in Quetta bombing

At least 11 Shias, including two women, were killed and 23 others were injured after separate bombings occurred in Quetta’s Hazara Town and Kohat. A suicide bomber struck with huge explosion in Aliabad, killing at least five people. Daily Times
